For Facebook users, it’s called the “Like” button, while for Google+ users, it’s called the “Plus 1” button. Similar to any Rating System, these two features can greatly determine the reputation and integrity of a content being posted, hence, having many number of these likes or plus 1s is a goal sought-after by internet marketers as well as some business owners who has either a Facebook or a Google+ page as an extension of their business.

Some would think that getting a lot of attention on these social sites can be tough, but honestly, it isn’t really that hard. In fact, for internet marketers, promoting via social media must have these 3 qualities that will make your social media marketing more efficient, also known as the “3Es”: Easy, Effective, & Engaging.

Easy

To get plus 1s and likes on Facebook and Google+, respectively, seems to be hard, but is actually quite easy, once you know exactly what you are dealing with. For instance, knowing and researching about your target consumer can make your social media marketing attempts much easier, as once you’re knowledgeable enough in your target, you can easily tailor your post or your page to appeal to your target demographic, which will sure generate a lot of notice to users, and will build your reputation even further. All with just a simple research.

Effective

An effective method to increase the awareness and reputation of a page or post on your social media campaign, is to simply make sure that the content is worth reading, and better yet, worth sharing. If you’re targeting new consumers of your product or service, consider a page that highlights all the strong points on your product or service, and expand further on it so that it’s appealing to those types of consumers. If you’re targeting existing customers, then state the advantages of your new offer over the old one that your customers are engaged into, and convince them that there’s more benefit into your new product.

Engaging

If your page or post gets a large number of recognition via likes or Plus 1s, then chances are high that a lot more people will view your content as popular and reputable, which will encourage more and more users to share your content within social media, which in turn, will generate more recognition, and the method goes on and on, until you see your Likes or Plus 1s pile up more quickly. This kind of engagement received by internet marketers, in turn, must be taken full advantage of in order to maximize the potential number of ratings that your business will acquire.

Successfully integrating all these “3Es” into your social media marketing campaign, will assure you the a huge number of Facebook Likes and Google+ Plus 1s, all while effectively minimizing your cost and effort.

A business will not be an earning entity without two things: sell-able products and customers who actually pay for those products. Through the course of time, the evolution of human thinking gave way to the birth of new ideologies and technologies, which will increase product quality and customer satisfaction. Gone are the days where a business used to depend solely on its customers’ word of mouth. If this were the Middle Ages, a positive feedback from single customer will mean a lot to business. Likewise, one negative feedback might cause its ruin. This scenario is so true especially to the blossoming perfumery industry that is very dependent on word of mouth advertising centuries ago.

Businesses have a lot to be thankful for after Internet had given both social media. Social media sites have given both small and huge businesses the same chance of being seen and heard. These same businesses have also used online customer feedback as a direct review of their products and services.

Customer’s feed ask via social media sites is very important to all businesses with online presence. Not only do online users judge a certain business’ credibility with the number of like it has attained, netizens also use the number of likes to gauge whether they will spend their cash on this company’s products or services.

A customer’s “like” is very powerful. It is a sign of approval from customer who got his money’s worth. A business will definitely boom if it got thousands of “likes”. In that same line, many company websites has placed a “plus one” button on their official websites. Get more plus ones because they are far better and more powerful than the like button.

Once a customer clicks on a company website’s plus one button, it will instantly send a signal to Google or any other search engine that site has tied up with. That search engine will then tally up how many plus one’s a company page has receive. The company which will receive the most number of plus one’s will be the first on the result list ones their category has been searched online by a potential customer. It means a lot for a business to get more plus one hits.

Many small to medium scale businesses are investing on plus one packages in order to compete head on with the industry bigwigs on the online marketing battlefield. Attaining the highest visibility in a search engine is the main output once a business gets more plus one hits than any of its competitors.

A perfect example would be Dunkin Donuts.

Despite fierce competition from business who sell the same specialty, Dunkin still manages to be on top of their game by getting as many as 500 plus one’s every day. No matter what search engine you use, once you key in “donuts” on the search field, the first thing that will always appear is Dunkin Donuts. Dunkin not only managed to maintain the same quality throughout these years, their marketing team has also unlocked the secret to staying “afloat” and earning: getting more plus one’s. Therefore, if you have business and you want to keep up with the rest who are good at what they do, you would have to get yourself plus one’s.

Forbes.com has even published an article about how Google may have finally made a couple of breakthroughs with the social networking product. As I was reading it, I cannot help but realize that my feelings towards Google plus went exactly along the same lines as the consultants interviewed for the article.

A few months ago, if I were to be asked what I really thought about Google Plus, I’d say it has all the makings of another Myspace or Friendster. Only this social network iteration never made it to the top of the heap.

But what if I told you that I too had a change of heart. That just as other social media consultant that were changing their tunes on how they project Google Plus’ future would be, I too am dismissing my early predictions. Well, I have, and below I will discuss some of the points that have forced me to come to this different conclusion. To all business owners out there that are still stuck with our early finding that Google Plus was only a fad, hopefully you’ll soon find the light too the same way most of the social media consultants already have.

“Communities” is a feature that went up and above what Facebook’s groups does. Communities allows people to connect to each other through interests, which are searchable. It’s very easy to connect to like-minded people, which if we think about it, is really one of the main mission of social networking. What’s up and above about it though, is that even business pages or brand can join in. A capability missing in Facebook groups. It’s easy to imagine that this innovation is pushed to further give reason to Facebook users who should find this feature neat.

Hangouts is another feature of this social networking site that have yet to be duplicated by its bigger rival. Of course, when I say big, I mean about total user numbers. Google is a much bigger behemoth of a company and I would never make a mistake about that. Video conferencing even up to know is such a premium feature that one has to invest significant dues to get access to. And here comes a social network offering it at no charge! This remains the biggest draw of Google plus for me. Hangouts alone should be enough reason that Google plus is not a fad and that to get More Plus 1 may not be such a waste of time after all.

Finally, let’s not forget how Plus ones are not just mere copycats of Facebook’s “like button”. Plus ones are able to do more for businesses than Facebook likes. They add value to your business website and increasing their likelihood securing a higher ranking on the search engine we are all clamoring for – Google Search. Thus, it never is a loss cause if you invest time in Google plus, these features ensures that.

Although it is hidden from the public, it is fairly easy to catch a glimpse as to how the inner workings of a company marketing campaign acts.

The venue/arena: is set at the internet

The opponents: the companies adopting social media

Their prize: A bigger piece of the pie (of the online users of social media sites)

Each day battles are being fought and most of the online users it is happening right under their noses. Each company does its best to be the top influencer and once it gets there, to not be toppled over by the ones behind. Everybody is trying to catch up to everybody. It is chaos. The landscape is cut throat and challenging. I guess what I’m trying to say is that it’s fun!

It’s a good era to be alive today if you get excited with marketing. We are in a unique point right now in history when a humongous company can take the leap and trust a few individuals claiming to be social media specialist for the entirety of that big company’s marketing efforts. If you are still clueless and would finally want to learn what I’m talking about, it means that the industry is in the state of flux. Business owners are clueless. It’s free for all for everyone who knows how to pitch social media marketing. I’m telling you, it doesn’t take too much to say it convincingly to someone. And that is what the problem is, saying it is one thing, being able to execute it for the sake of the company that is paying you good money is another.

Since I have been on a mission for a while now to make the mystery of how social media works for a brand less concealing, I am going to present you tips on a more familiar manner.

Links are the Vegetables

Most people don’t include vegetables in their diets as much as they have to. Even though its healthy for us, just like how links are important for not just SEO but also for branding, it is the part of our content often undervalued.

Videos are your carbs

Videos are great content but no web crawlers are able to read them yet as easily as they can with text. Your only chance with videos is if they go viral.

Text is the main course, the meat

It is the body of the text and it can be composed of many nutrients such as keywords, headings and tags. Social media site sites have this type of content the most since these are what people consume the most

Pictures are for desserts

Images are eye candies, and they are treated as such by social media sites as well. Users love them since they are the most effective to convey a message. Although like videos, it isn’t much good in search.

Whenever you engage users through social media sites such as Google Plus, it is important you get a balanced dose of these on your overall contents. Doing it would ensure an increase plus ones.

Although it is a feature utilized by many other social networking sites to attract people, I think Google plus is at the forefront with the best of them.

Some of us may like Google plus, some of us may just be using it because of the obvious advantage it gives in terms of search rankings on search. The fact remains though that it has a glaring problem in terms of user base engagement. Yes there are hundreds of millions of people who have gotten an account with the search giant’s social networking daring. Most of them are from people who just took a sneak peek and see what was Google plus all about. Also since if you already are using any of the Google products meaning you already have a user id for them, it would only take you a few clicks to get that social network account started and you’d be in.

Having said that, it says a lot about the potential of this platform to be one of the most used one anytime in the future. That is anytime they are able to convince people to actually post stuff on their walls and quit being lurkers. Personally at this time I’d say businesses are more at home with Google plus now than personal accounts. Businesses find it a joy of how easy marketing is done through this sleek platform. Also getting a sized audience with enough engagements assures a business a higher spot on another famous Google product and that is search. Probably that last one is the most compelling reason going for Google plus right now, but it doesn’t apply much with individuals.

Google Inc. has realized this shortcoming in their social networking experiment that they so badly want to at least grab a significant market share instead of just being treated as a niche site. They understand that in order for them to force use engagement they would need to provide new incentives for real people to use the service and get plus 1s.

Here are the two killer features that Google plus have which are meant to be incentives for individual users because other social networking sites just can’t compete with:

Hangout – check any other websites or software which offers the same service and you will usually be greeted with a fee. Google plus hangout is the only service I know which offers the functionality of group video chat that allows up to ten people (last time I checked) to video conference for free.

Photo Hub – Facebook’s domination of being the photo sharing hub of the web has long been established. Google plus is eyeing on this specific function to best Facebook somehow. I’d say they already have done a good job so far. I love the interface and the photo editing tools that Google plus have set in place. I feel that they have some of the best user presentation, photo quality and sharing ability implementation a social networking site can offer.

Search Engine Opti..." width="240" height="154" />I am slowly noticing that buying Google pluses does affect the search engine ranking of my websites on Google. There are many of us who have chosen to go along with this. It is somewhat an accepted fact that since Google plus is the brain child of the world’s largest search engine company – Google; then it might also be affect the way it ranks a website on the searches. I have never been someone to accept one way of thinking as it is and right away. My natural curiously prevents that from being the case. I’d like to ask questions on why is that so before there would be any adoption on my part that takes place.

The get more plus ones cry out by web developers are most certainly intriguing. It is something worthwhile to try and prove. And many have set out and experimented tis premise that a very minor interaction with a social networking page can influence something that we have for so long sought for.

It might be a shock for many especially since the understanding of search engine optimization or SEO is as so that it is almost like a cult. People have claimed that they are the so called experts on SEO and a lot do actually believe them. This in turn creates hierarchy which places the gurus on top and so they are able to plunder the web because so many look up to them. But this thought of having so simple affect the ranking is definitely a breath of fresh air for internet marketers and anyone who is trying to promote something on the internet.

With all those in mind I decided to try it out myself. I set out doing the first step on this experiment so I too can be certain of its positive effect which many have acknowledged. To get more plus ones the first step in fact is to find a reputable source. I am talking about marketing firms that at least have been in the business for some time. Also one has to also take note that their business page should also have healthy dose of real people who has got nice things to say about the firm. This positive word of mouth should extend to other pages and websites as well. Once I did that, I ended up with a list of companies which have a presence on the internet. I know choosing one of these firms to help me out with my experiment of SEO thru Google plus am a far safer bet compared if I’m going to contact those countless others that are not on this list.

Although I must admit I still have one too many options in front of me. I thought about it and decided to go to the firm which has a physical address listed on their page and it’s very visible. It gave me the sense that what I was dealing with here was a real business which I can go to if anything happens.

Living in the world of online marketing has its perks and privileges. Often you can setup a work station anywhere you want, say from your home. Getting work done at home has its own set of challenges but still stands the fact that you’re right there within your comforts ready to take on the challenges on an uncomfortable work competition. A person who does his job or business at home has the ability to spend the 2 hours he should usually spend at travelling to work and invest it further towards his job (2 hours’ worth of the 2way drive to work is at the least for sure). I’ll be honest here, the job is not as easy as pie all the time, and a huge chunk of it is being risky.

Once you have settled in and you’ve established a brand online whether your business reaches for consumers (business to consumers or B2C) or you trying to reach other businesses to supply them with what you offer (business to business or B2B) you will come to the conclusion that it is an ever shifting battle against an opponent you cannot win against (I’ve mention those two business terms so you could look it up, as they are often thrown around all the time). Many businesses are at a struggle because they have built their brand on top of sand which is Google. There are many businesses that have committed the mistake of putting too much on their Google basket and is now just an algorithm update away from irrelevancy or in other terms disaster.

Social media is another strong and solid aspect on how to grow your presence no matter which type of business you employ. The problem is it is comparably more recent than search engine optimization or the other aspects of online marketing that is why most individuals and companies are still scratching their head about it. Learning how to effectively juggle the time you have in a day and knowing how to best implement your time to get the most out of media is still an ongoing process. Many still haven’t even scratched the surface of how their Facebook and Twitter profiles pages can be of help and here comes Google plus dropping by the arena for a fight. Ironically the internet company giant is the one we were trying to lessen our exposure with on the other side of the fence which is why we jumped over to the other side of social media specifically social networking.

The Google plus platform is surprisingly polished and business friendly. Many business have actually stepped up their efforts to multiply the likelihood of people giving them an increase plus one count. They feel compelled to do this so than their Google plus company page is at par with the other pages they have created on different social networking sites. Also, they know the benefit of Google plus in terms of how it can also help you on the other side of the fence we were talking about. Look it up, do a research on how Google plus can help you so you won’t be left behind.

Having more customers and getting more income is the aim of every business. A traditional business needs a very good advertising and promotion strategy. This is needed in order to draw more people to purchase a product or a brand. Just like any other business, advertisements are also needed by nontraditional businesses like those who sell products in the online community. Online businesses had become popular more than ever because of the many advantages it brings to the company. Online stores bring to the consumer the ease of purchasing things. Website owners only need to have the best advertising tool to be competitive and one of the things that they needs to consider is the use of social networking sites like Google plus to get more plus one.

Google is one of the most popular, if not the most popular name when it comes to the internet industry. Google is the most trusted brand and it has become a household name because of the many benefits that it provides its users. One of the things that Google provides to its avid users is Google plus. Google plus is a social networking site that is feature packed and so fans and avid users of social networks will surely enjoy spending time with it. The features of Google plus will enable a user to post website links that they find interesting. Google plus users will also have the chance to post status updates and photos and other users of Google plus will have the opportunity to like or comment on these posts. Liking a post in Google plus is called plus one and this is one feature that most business owners consider for their own business website.

Just like any other social media site, Google plus is widely used by many people on the internet community. Businesses consider having popular social networks integrated in their own website to draw in more people, more clients, more website traffic and more income. Just like any other social networking site, Google plus reaches a lot of people and since it is from Google, users can be sure that it is trustworthy of their patronage. The fact that Google is such a trusted brand also gives businesses and websites the confidence that applying this service from Google will bring many positive contributions. Using Google plus is an effective advertising strategy and to maximize the use of Google plus, business owners must consider and get more plus one. They should start thinking of it as points, much like how they treat the “likes” from Facebook.

The continued development in technology plays a big part in our lives, and today, as it advances further it has changed the every facet of how we do business. Google, as one of the leaders of anything that has got to do online, provides many developments to their services so they could continue on satisfying the average internet user. Google also provides many advertising and promotional tool which makes up the ecosystem of how it does its own business.

Google has been the leader of the internet for the last decade. And we have seen it striving to make sure that it continues to be so for the next. The Company has dominated the web by being the most trusted internet search provider. Google has made remarkable impacts to the lives of people throughout the whole world, particularly on how we use technology to make life easier. This is true because with Google, a person is countless times more knowledgeable as he can gather data from the vastness of the World Wide Web at his disposal.

Social networking sites had become the trend and people had been generous enough to use it every day as soon as they get acquainted with the service. Because of this trend, Google plus had been created by Google to provide its avid users a more reliable social networking experience. Business owners rely on social networking sites for their advertising and promotional strategies. Using Google plus will definitely get the business owner who uses it an advantage that they have increasingly in need of. They need to get more Google plus ones as these will maximize the effect of Google plus on Google’s primary business which is search.

Google plus ones is a Google plus’ social networking feature that business owners have their eyes fixed on. It works the same way as the Facebook “like” does. In fact, Google found the Facebook “like” – and let’s just say they used it for inspiration. Just like in any other social networking sites, having lots of users sharing your content (which is the function of the plus one, like and tweet buttons) means that there are many people that trust the product or a brand. That trust factor could be the difference on a person’s preference on what product to buy if he were to be given a choice. It has now been a part of people’s habit to most of the time check the internet before they make the purchase. Reviews are often the most searched queries on search engines as people always would want to get the most value out of their hard earned money. If they were to have a choice between two products, which serves exactly the same purpose; what do you think will be the choice? Is it going to be the product that one can’t find any reviews about, so much for any positive ones, or is it going to be the product that’s got rave reviews and its coming from a brand that’s got some praise comments as well? There is no doubt the person would go for the latter.

Google plus functions more as a positive review. That is why businesses can’t get enough of it. Google has so tied it up with its search engine platform which everybody on planet Earth uses so that it can figure out what page has more Google pluses. So not only does it affect the way visitors or customers would feel about seeing your page but it will also affect the page’s visibility because the internet’s gatekeeper so much loves it.

Google plus is but another social networking site (an extremely polished one if you might ask) people can sink their time into. It offers an interesting user interface which provides an experience miles apart in terms of visuals from what we commonly handle such as those of Facebook, but in terms of functions and interaction we would not get too much alienated. On the eyes of a business owner, marketer or adverting firms it’s a whole different story. It’s a social media brand which offers itself as another arsenal for promoting businesses.

If you are the type of business owner that has any social media marketing history on your job description, you would know that before any promoting can begin, your company needs to establish a following –in this case it’s called plus 1s… Facebook calls theirs “likes”, Twitter have theirs as “followers” and not to be left behind is Google plus with its plus 1s. Plus 1s serves the same purpose as the “like” button of Facebook. The “like” has been scattered all around the internet so when we need to share something, it will just be a click away. And click away people do. It was such a huge success for Facebook that in the studies held by their advertising sales department, they reported that 50 million “likes” are clicked each day. There is no way of telling that Plus 1s would grow to such popularity, but if you have already added your brand in Google plus, might as well make it effective.

Being relentless in the pursuit of bringing positive marketing for your brand in social media would not mean much if you are not doing it the right way. Firing away blindfolded won’t do you much good. What it will do however is waste your time and resources. It is always a good marketing strategy to maximize your resources through as much social networking sites as you can, but there is a danger that lurks with this technique as well. You might spread the ice too thin, a danger that can make you fall right in the middle. If you’re going to associate your brand with Google because you don’t trust that boy named Mark Zuckerberg, might as well do it the right way and learn how to get more Google plus 1s.

A technique that is highly regarded by all firms related to social media is the population of good content on a page. It serves as the golden rule for anyone attempting to do well in social media. Having high quality content on your page (and this technique works well on all social networking platforms) would allow you to get more Google plus 1s in a more natural way. If you’re not confident you’ll be able to supply it, it is always good to know that social media firms devote a lot of their time and effort trying to perfect the craft of different content strategies into any industry’s social media campaign. They’ll do everything possible to keep your following always at their toes ready to follow and refer their friends to your brands.
